Kids are true believers. They naturally imagine, invent, collaborate, experiment, and create. I believe one of the most important things we can do for the next generation is protect and nurture those instincts rather than rushing to replace them with an endless focus on achievement.
At Wonderstruck, we create immersive worlds where kids have the freedom to explore, make things up, solve problems, and work together. And something magical happens when we give them that space: they often choose to read, write, solve puzzles, practise new skills, and tackle challenges—not because they’ve been told they should, but because they genuinely want to.
Wonderstruck is about imagination, yes. But it’s also about the skills that imagination makes possible: creativity, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, storytelling, confidence, and curiosity.
Most of all, it’s about giving kids room to wonder.
Because sometimes the things that look like “just play” are actually the things preparing them for everything that comes next.

Meet Ane
Hi, I’m Ane, founder of Wonderstruck and mom to three girls.
I started Wonderstruck during my second maternity leave as a creative project, after a decade in grad school and nearly another decade in the corporate world. Along the way, I began to notice a gap between what we’re taught will make us successful and the skills that actually help us thrive.
As a kid, I was told—like so many of us were—that math problems, spelling tests, and science experiments were the important stuff. Building forts in the woods, creating imaginary worlds, daydreaming, and playing make-believe were distractions.
But looking back, I see things differently.
The imagination I developed through those imaginary worlds became the foundation for so much of my adult life: the ability to tell stories, solve problems creatively, build relationships, understand people, work with others, and imagine possibilities that didn’t exist yet. The things that have mattered most in my career rarely came from knowing the “right” answer. They came from figuring out better questions, finding solutions, collaborating with others, and seeing the bigger picture.
And when you think about it, every great innovation starts as something that doesn’t yet exist—an idea in someone’s head. Imagination is where possibility begins.
That’s why I started Wonderstruck.
