LITs are assigned a Senior Counselor or Staff Person to shadow throughout their time at Wonderstruck, and are provided with formal and informal feedback during and after the session concludes. LITs can also benefit from staying connected to one another via Wonderstruck events throughout the year, and are eligible for support with applications, network-building and references from their Senior Leadership. LITs are invited to select their desired roles and sessions, and will be formally interviewed by the camp's Director to confirm a good fit. What are your health and safety guidelines? At Wonderstruck, your campers' safety and well-being are our top priorities. Here's how we ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone: Health Protocols: We strictly adhere to all health protocols mandated by the BC Government, ensuring that our procedures align with public health recommendations. From handwashing routines to symptom monitoring, we implement comprehensive measures to safeguard your health and well-being. Health Screening: We require anyone feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness, including those associated with COVID-19, to stay home and seek appropriate medical advice. Please note that refunds are not provided for missed camp days due to illness. Handwashing Practices: Campers are encouraged to wash their hands regularly, especially before and after meals and snacks. Handwashing stations and hand sanitizer with at least 60-70% alcohol content are readily available throughout the campsite. Limited Visitors: To maintain our screening efforts and ensure everyone's safety, we restrict visitors' access to our camp premises. Outdoor Activities: Spending time outdoors is not only enjoyable but also contributes to overall health. That's why we prioritize outdoor activities, providing ample opportunities for campers to explore and engage with nature. Child Safety and Well-being: We take our duty to ensure the safety and security of every child seriously. Our commitment includes maintaining higher-than-minimum counselor-to-camper ratios, ensuring that children receive attentive care. Our senior counselors and camp directors are trained in First Aid, and all staff members undergo criminal record checks. For more detailed information, please refer to our Policies and Procedures as well as our Parent Waiver. At Wonderstruck, we're dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and create lasting memories.

Creative Thinking
Imaginative play helps develop innovative, outside-the-box thinking and the ability to see new possibilities.
Our world needs new solutions more than ever. Developing this skill in our kids is crucial.
Independent Decision-Making
Kids' choices and actions are linked to outcomes within an immersive storyline. Instead of a set of rigid instructions, kids are given control over their own experience. This fosters reflection on their own feelings, thoughts, decisions, and the impact of their actions.
Collaborative Problem-Solving
Working through story-based challenges allows kids to solve problems in a safe and controlled environment. Advancing the plot through co-operatiion with peers builds teamwork skills.
